Never knew this will one day happen to me (the one being burned by the two of you)

I think it’s important to take the time to tell the people you love how much you love them.

Barramundi (Lates calcarifer) with piebald colouration
Fish are known to produce colour mutations which vary greatly from their natural palette. In most cases, the new colour form makes it unsuitable for survival so no genes are passed on. However, sometimes a new colour strain develops and over time, may develop into a new species. Normal barramundi are a silvery grey throughout their entire body.
Hey, this post may contain adult content, so we’ve hidden it from public view.

When threatened by fish, some copepods, specially Anomalocera ornata can jump straight out of the water and shoot over many times their own body lengths. From the fish’s point of view, its prey suddenly disappears, using same tactic as flying fish to escape from predators…
The crustaceans kick their ten legs rapidly and take off into the air in a jump that can send them flying for distances over 40 times the length of their body.

Check out this beautiful slideshow of high-magnification images of plankton.
Seen here is a species of gastropod - slugs and snails - known as the sea angel. As captioned in the slideshow, “Sea angels only have a shell when they are embryos, as in this species Clione limacina (magnification x 20). Juvenile C. limacina are about 5 mm long and adults reach up to 5 cm. The foot of a sea angel develops into two wing-like parapodia that help them move about.”
